My very first apple pie.

On the last day of the same visit with my Mom, I decided it was time to make my very first apple pie. We, of course, bought and used locally grown apples from the farmer's market. Mom was on standby, but I made the whole pie (crust included) from scratch and it turned out AMAZING!! Really, I don't love apple pie usually, but this pie was delicious. Not too sweet, not too bland, not too runny, not too anything....just right. The crust was flaky and delicious. and the filling was from the classic Betty Crocker cookbook. Next time I want to try the Barefoot Contessa's filling.
