Lights Out

We got a bit of an ice storm yesterday and within 15 minutes of the ice coming down our power also went down. The power went out at about 4:00 pm.  Thankfully, Matt had arrived home 5 minutes before we lost power. He went into full survival mode. I think he mentioned needing to decide on a 'rendezvous location' at one point. You know in case we got separated, that way we both knew where to meet each other. The headlamps, batteries, flashlights, and candles were gathered in record time. And in all seriousness, Matt got an old generator working within an hour or so, which meant we had electricity for lamps, cell phone chargers, refrigerators, etc.  When the power went out my first thought was, "Oh no, all of my frozen breast milk is going to go bad!!".  Thanks to Matt my breast milk was saved! Harrison seemed pretty unaffected by the whole situation. No, that's not true. I think it made him go crazy. He was a wild man. Jumping, running, somersaulting, bouncing off furniture, etc. The power came back on around midnight.

Dinner by candlelight.

Getting the boys ready for bed.

I included this blurry picture, because that's how hyper Harrison was. He was running around Henry's room throwing himself off the stuffed elephant, over and over and over again. He could not stay still.
