Harrison's Reading Nook

Harrison got a new blue chair from Grandpa this Christmas and we are in love with it. I tried to create a cozy little reading nook for Harrison in his room and I think I was successful. I think nooks are important for children.
Here are more details about Harrison's nook for those who are interested:

Matt made the bookshelf in college. We painted it while pregnant with Harrison for his nursery. The size is perfect and I love the subtle dental molding on the bottom.

The Bozo the Clown lamp is vintage and was given to me by my Aunt Christie while visiting her antique shop in Crown Point. Love it. Love the blue trim around the shade. The clown part also lights up which is rad. Bozo has some sentimental value, as well. My Dad is from Chicago which is where Bozo originates (I think) and he watched him as a child (I think). We played Bozo Buckets when we were children at our birthday parties. Anyway, I love this whimsical lamp.

The retro style clock was a cheap Target find, but it worked perfectly with the nursery decor. I quickly found out I needed a clock in Harrison's nursery to help time breast feedings.

The numbers poster is a Binth print that I also ordered for Harrison's nursery before he arrived. LOVE IT.  The colors work perfectly with the decor and it is working nicely as Harrison's room transforms from nursery to big boy room. I framed it with a Hobby Lobby frame (50% off). One of my favorite parts of his room.

The hooks were a Goodwill find that I spray painted white. I think hooks in nursery and now in a big boy room are very important. We are constantly using it for pajamas, outfits that didn't get dirty and could be worn again, and Harrison's super-hero cape. Also, important to hang at a level that a toddler can reach so he can hang things on his own.

Finally, the faux sheepskin rug was a Sam's Club find. I love the texture and softness it brings to Harrison's nook. He loves it, too.
