Bedtime Ritual

Here are some pictures from putting Harrison to bed tonight. We have a routine. Some may find it has a bit more energy and zest then your typical relaxing bedtime routines, but it works for us. Harrison has fun, we have fun, and then he falls asleep usually within 10 minutes of us leaving his room. Enjoy.
Bedtime is 7:30pm.
After we wash hands, brush teeth, change his diaper, and put on pjs, Harrison then chooses a book to read.
More often then not he chooses 'Be a Good Dog Carl'.
Lately he has also been choosing his book of songs that also has a mini keyboard attached to it.
We sing while Harrison plays the keyboard.
It's blurry, but look at how happy that face is!
Harrison did not want to take off his sandals that we tried on right before we put pjs on. This is the 'put your right foot in' song.
We get hugs and kisses and then Matt flies Harrison around the room to say goodnight to all of his stuff.
"Goodnight pillow!"
This is the descent into Harrison's crib.
Another blurry picture, but also another happy face.
We cover Harrison with his big blanket, tuck, give him his blankie, put his bunny on one side and his horse on the other (or on his head like Matt likes to do), show him his stack of books, turn on his beloved aquarium, blow kisses, and then wave and say goodnight.
Goodnight.
