Christmas Morning 2009

We spent Christmas morning at our house this year. We woke up, fed Harrison (shielding his eyes from the tree and stocking area), greeted Pat and Bill who came over to have breakfast and watch Harrison open gifts, and then begun our festivities. Mitch Miller was playing on the stereo, of course.

Get ready for a lot of pictures and no comments on our empty cold ugly room. I haven't decorated this room yet. We were a little unprepared for Harrison's grand entrance and didn't have the camera quite ready, hence the blurry picture. But I still think you can get the idea of what Harrison's face looked like. He actually was really excited. His mouth was wide open and he was kind of yelling with excitement. I was kind of surprised at how much he got into it.
He just walked around the tree initially trying to take it all in.
Again, hard to tell but you can kind of see his gaping mouth full of disbelief in this picture.
Love the look in his eyes in this one.
The first toy he went for was the tricycle that Matt gifted him with. He's a little too small yet, but enjoyed it nonetheless.
I made us all wear Santa hats.
This stacking/sorting toy was the big hit of the morning. It shows up in almost every picture from here on out, because he wouldn't stop playing with it.
Dad also got Harrison a ball. Harrison loves balls.
Family portrait.
Notice the very large, beautiful, personalized stocking.....Pat knitted it for Harrison! Isn't it gorgeous. It reminds me of Justin's stocking he had when he was little and I love it.
