The Wonderlab
We took a family field trip to our local children's science museum, The Wonderlab. It was our first time and Harrison is just now at the age where he can actually play and interact with the learning stations. We had a really nice time. And just as we were leaving Harrison was finally relaxed, warmed up and ready to play. He cried as we left the building. Good sign. So next time we have cousins visiting, we will take a trip to the Wonderlab. It's a nice resource to have in town.
These are pictures from the shadow/light room. I was obsessed with the shadow room at that one place we went to as kids (in the foothills with the alpine slide?), so this was very exciting for me.

Harrison loved this thing.
Harrison and Matt loved the turtle. It was eating little tiny fish.
The big drum was a hit.
And of course the water station was fun. That will be more fun once he is old enough and tall enough to not require assistance from us.

The balls get sucked down the water cyclone thingy (I need to brush up on my science terms).

Another big hit was this ball maze thing. You drop the ball in and it goes through an obstacle course before landing at the bottom.

Fish tank.
It was worth the $20 just so we could get his shot of the rainbow lights.
