Going to the Chapel (kind of)!

After breakfast, Mom and I did a little shopping and then got our hair done. We actually got our hair done at the same salon where Emily and her mom were. That was a nice treat to be able to spend a little bit of time with Emily and her mom. After hair was done, we headed back to the apartment, got ready, picked up Matt, Ken, and Jess and then headed to J's house to spend some QT with him. Randy and Lauren were at the Art Institute.

How beautiful!!! I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Emily's dress. I thought it was perfect. Sooooo elegant! I just loved it. I loved the detail at the bust and loved the detail at the train even more (I have always been a big fan of those types of pleats). The hair and makeup were perfect, as well. I loved how simply chic and elegant Emily was and Justin, too, for that matter. That suit rocked, J!! Perfect. How hot did you guys feel?!
The ceremony and reception both were at A New Leaf It was such a cool place. I want to go back and spend more time in the outdoor garden area. Loved it!
The paparazzi!
After a few pictures, the guests began to arrive.
The beautiful greeters! And that looks like Warren, now the party can get started.
Emily's brothers played guitar before the ceremony and as Emily walked down the aisle. Very cool. Loved that personal touch. And by the way, Emily's family is just downright nice. I really enjoyed meeting all of them again and getting to know them a little better. I really like your family, Emily.

I, too, don't have many of the reception because I was too concerned about my toast and dancing. Randy does and they look great!

Oh no!
Odd combo! Is that Elvira's purse or did she get some leftovers?
And this is where the night ended. The Old Town Ale House. Bad decision. We should've gone straight home. We were pretty beat by this time of the night.

Emily and Justin, your wedding was gorgeous and soooo much fun! It felt really personal and really friend and family oriented. I had a wonderful time and it looked like all of your friends and family did, as well. What about you guys? Did you have a good time? It looked like it. Now we are one big happy family. It feels good.

Thank you for also keeping a nice running diary. We were doing that, but we had a few places where we didn't take any pictures. Ooops!! Too caught up in the moment.
