Studio Renovation

This weekend I started to renovate my new 'studio'. I'm calling it a studio because I think that sounds cooler than craft room. The first project was to paint the built-in bookshelves which is a huge undertaking. The bookshelves were a horrible green color. I wanted a light, bright, invigorating, and inspiring color so I chose blue. I am awful at choosing colors from a paint swatch. And this proved true once again. The blue is a bit lighter than I had imagined. I think I wanted a more grey blue or robin's egg blue. I got sky blue. It looks more like a baby's room right now then a studio, but I'm sticking with this color and moving forward. I think once everything is painted and I get things back on the shelves it will look good. It's bright and cheery that's for sure! Painting is taking a really long time and I'm doing it all by myself, which means I'll be so full of pride when I'm all finished. I can't wait!!
