Justin and Emily's Wedding Weekend

I got busted! Justin and Emily checked out Ken and Jess' blog and found a long detailed entry all about our weekend in Chicago (we were there for their wedding). Then they went to my blog and saw an entry about a pewter vase I want. Once again, I was caught being totally self absorbed. However, what Justin and Emily don't know is that I've been talking to Matt, Mom, and people I work with all about their wedding and how much fun I had, how beautiful Emily was, how perfect the wedding and reception were and so on. But I do want to give a little run down of the weekend from my perspective. So here we go....

We started from Bloomington in Matt's parent's van that the so graciously let us use. We then headed to Indy to pick up Mom, Randy, Ken, Jess, and then Lauren. The van ride, both there and back, was one of my most favorite parts of the weekend. We laughed, talked, told stories, stopped at Ken's favorite gas station, and listened to Randy ask Lauren questions. A good time. The first night we met Justin, Emily, Dan, Vicky, and Alec at an awesome Indian restaurant. The food was to die for. The wine even better. The waiters were very friendly and just as sweaty. It was hot, but after the 3rd glass of wine I didn't notice. Plus, it was almost like we were sitting in India.

The happy couple.
A classic Ken face. Is he farting?

Ken's wife actually had to cut Ken off from having anymore drinks. I did not feel well the next day. If you want details you'll have to ask me in person. Needless to say Matt and I didn't get out of bed until around 12:00 the next day. After we got up we met Mom and Lauren at Millennium Park and then went to lunch. Mom was the leader and was walking at a pretty good clip about a good 1/2 mile ahead of us. She was on a mission. I've never seen her walk so far and so fast before. She lead us to the Billy Goat Tavern. The burgers really hit the spot after a long night of drinking. Lauren pooped on the side of the road right after lunch because her delicate LA stomach was not used to so much grease.

This is Lauren taking a picture of Mom putting on a tattoo (free tattoos were handed to us on Michigan Ave). The anticipation was great, but Mom failed to remove the plastic from the tattoo. She tried again and was successful. Did anyone notice her tattoo at the rehearsal dinner?
